4. BATTLE PHASE

- Now Your Monsters Battle!

Do not HAVE to battle. 1st player cannot battle on 1st turn. Can activate traps and quick play spells during this Phase but no other spell cards. 4 steps:

  1. Start Step: Announce you’re entering the Battle Phase.
  2. Battle Step: Select a monster you control in attack position to attack with, select an opposing monster or if N/A the opponent themselves to target, declare the attack. Repeat as needed. Each faceup attack position monster can attack once each turn.
  3. Damage Step: Players calculate the result of battle and what damage is done, then return to the Battle Step.
  4. End Step: After all desired battles are resolved by repeating the above Steps announce the end of the Phase, then move to Main Phase 2.

1. DRAW PHASE

- Turn Player Draws

Declare the draw phase, draw a card from the deck, add it to your hand, then move to Standby Phase. Players with no cards to draw from their deck lose. 1st player does not draw on their 1st turn.

2. STANDBY PHASE

- Standby/Pause

Standby and apply any effects or costs that resolve or activate during this phase before moving on to the Main Phase.

3. MAIN PHASE I

- Play Your Cards

Can play most cards in this phase, you can: normal summon, set cards, change monster battle positions, activate spells or traps, all in any order. Some actions may have restrictions. Then either move to the Battle Phase or End Phase.

5. MAIN PHASE 2

- Play Your Cards

Only applied if you entered the Battle Phase. Same as Main Phase 1, however if you already did an action that is restricted to once per turn, like a normal summon, in Main Phase 1 then you cannot perform it now & can only move onto the End Phase.

6. END PHASE

- Turn Ends, Go To Next Player's Turn

Announce the end of your turn, discard cards until you have 6 max in your hand, resolve any effects that resolve or activate at this phase, and proceed to the opposing player’s turn.
